I am humbled and excited by the opportunity to lead your University of Louisville School of Medicine and the Health Sciences Center campus as the new Dean and Executive Vice President for Health Affairs (EVPHA). The process for replacing long-serving leadership is not an easy task, and I would like to especially thank those on the search committee and President Schatzel for their dedication and continued commitment to a strong health science enterprise at the University of Louisville.

The research, innovation, and education that transpires at the UofL School of Medicine is changing health care as we know it, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Dean and EVPHA as we work to foster a healthier world. Looking ahead, I am confident in the future of the UofL School of Medicine. With plans that foster innovative teaching and groundbreaking research, I know that the school will inspire, innovate, and impact the world and I am proud to be a part of what’s to come. In the coming months, I look forward to sharing my vision and proposed strategies to accelerate the successes of the School and the University as well as how I will contribute to achieving our organization’s mission and vision.
